" I Want a Wife"

I really was confused when i started reading this and it wasn't until the end did i finally figure out what she was talking about. I thought it was interesting how the author precieved a wife. She has the wife practically keeping the household together and keeping everyone (mainly the husband) happy on top of it. I find this funny becuase usually, one thinks, "the man of the house". But in this case, its almost as if the man wants no responsibility for anything other than eating, drinking, and sleeping. The wife is supposed to support, cook, clean, sexually satisfty, and keep things together all of the time. This passage was quite ironic to how households are, and how households are precieved.
